I've recently had a Wordpress blog built and I've just started to look at the plugins. Wow, there are a lot of them, you can spend hours looking through them all.

I'd like to know what the must have plugins are? What are your top 5?

  • Akismet - I'm not sure if this counts, as everyone has it.
  • Subscribe to Comments - A great way to let people keep up on the conversation after commenting.
  • Easy Contact - Clean and simple email form without all the overhead of some of the more complex ones.
  • WP Super Cache - Caching for dynamic WP pages to better handle high traffic without bringing down your server.
  • Shopp - Great ecommerce plugin for selling physical or digital products on a WP site.

  1. MyReviewPlugin - If you are planning to earn affiliate commissions, building review sites separately or building review pages as part of your main blog is really something you may want to try.

The plugin I use to create review sites is MyReviewPlugin, you can more info by clicking here: MyReviewPlugin

  1. GoCodes to build affiliate links
  2. AddThis to add the social media sharing icons
  3. Printthis to print any blog post
