There's a lot of info out there on creating minisites to sell products via affiliate links. The goal is to set up a 3-4 page website focused on a keyword that will rank well in the search engines.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with this and what are some of the best ways to build backlinks so that your page gets ranked higher in the search engines. This specifically relates to a site that is very product specific and where guest blog posts or other link building strategies of that nature really don't apply or work.

I don't think this is the answer you're looking for, but I'll give it anyway.

The best strategy is to write content that people will want to link to. Just write about the topic you want to write about, and make it as understandable and useful as you can.

If people care about what you write, the rest will follow.
