Website flipping can be described as the process of buying, improving and selling a website for profit. You buy and sell a site that you believe:

  • has some untapped potential (that can be monetized)
  • is a site you can put more value into
  • has already some existing and targeted client base

Has any of you experience in this kind of flipping? Have you made a sustainable profit by doing this? I've heard quite many online "urban legends" about people who make fortunes doing this, but I haven't yet met anyone of them in person.

I've made 6 figures a year flipping websites. I currently don't do it as much because energy wise it's not sustainable but it's a great way to make a living or finance a bigger project.
